Last, but most definitely not least, is Britney, my five year old Jack Russell Terrier. I have always referred to Britney as “Brit” or “the puppy” but have always called her “puppy”, “pupster” or “pup”. Dont’ ask me why.
Brit is sweet as can be.

She is adorable, snuggly and smart (she does other things besides “saying please” I swear!)

absolutely crazed for a ball or frisbee(tm).

and true to her breed in being brave and feisty to the point of stupidity.

Is that not the most repentant look you’ve ever seen on a dog’s face? Brit seems to believe that I ruined her life by bringing Jellybean into our little family. I am working Susan Garrett’s Crate Games to try to combat the constant little squabbles between Brit and Jellybean and that seems to be helping quite a bit. The idea is not to have to have them separated or closed up in crates all the time but for them to know they each have spots in the house (beds, mats, etc.) where they are safe from one another.
Brit has added so very much light and happiness to my life in the last five years.

She is a goodtime gal! She always, always, always sleeps under the covers curled up right next to me. She loves EVERYONE! Seriously, the dog has never met a stranger. Because she is so teeny (12” at the withers and only 9.5 lbs) and has gotten trod on by so many larger dogs..(ahem, Abby)…Brit is now a teensy bit grouchy when meeting larger dogs.

Brit assumes if someone sits down they are doing so just to provide her with a lap in which to jump. My brother says that she has the perfect kiss down: she only goes in 90% of the way ala Hitch ;-)
